GENEROUS patrons at The Cricketers pub, on Woodford Green High Road, handed over £2,687 that they raised for Richard House Children’s Hospice at a charity auction during this year's Woodford Festival.
More than 50 lots were on offer, including donations from West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur football clubs, plus restaurant vouchers and a host of other items at the event on October 6.
Licensees Tim and Wendy O'Sullivan presented the cheque to Richard House Ambassador Steve Howey, who said: “I am overwhelmed by the response from the warm-hearted regulars, and wish to thank them very much.
“My special thanks to Wendy and Tim for all the work they put in to making the auction such a success.”
Richard House in Beckton was London’s first children’s hospice and cares for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, and their families.
