Whoosh, bang, whiz, boom! The Royal Gunpowder Mills will be set alight for the first time in the site’s history next month, with the venue’s premiere fireworks display to mark a special Guy Fawkes Experience weekend.
The two spectacular light shows come courtesy of world-renowned pyrotechnics company, SM Art Pyro, and will round of each day of family activities on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8.
Children and adults alike can also enjoy a lively and light-hearted adaptation off the infamous Gunpowder Plot with a local theatre company’s performance of Ghost of Guy Fawkes, discover the food and smells of the Stuart period, learn how secret messages were passed between the conspirators and take part in the dance of the period. In addition, the Farewell to Arms, Rocket and 1940s exhibitions will also be open to the public.
