THE Waltham Forest Scouts' bi-annual gang show has found a new home.
Held for the last 36 years at the theatre in Lloyd Park, the show will now take up residence at the Chingford Assembly Hall.
Fears were raised over the future of the show after the cost of hall hire rose but a concession has now been introduced for community groups and the show is now safe until 2012.
Chingford Scouts have now been invited to take part in next year's production and the show will now be known as Waltham Forest Scout Gang Show.
Girl Guides have also taken part in previous years and next year's show could see more involvement as the Guide Movement celebrates its centenary.
A 'get-together' is to be held on November 8 at Winchester Road Church, Highams Park, from 2pm to 5pm for Scouts and Guides aged 10 and up who would like to take part.
The Gang Show Fellowship will also be holding fund raising events up to April 2010 in a bid to help pay for the show.
Rehearsals start on January 3 and the show runs from April 26 to May 1.
