THERE were some spooky goings-on at a nursery in South Woodford this Halloween.

Staff, parents and children dressed up in some fantastic outfits at Playdays Nursery in Chigwell Road to enjoy a suitably spooky day on Friday, October 30.

All the usual activities were put to one side in favour of traditional Halloween fun, such as apple bobbing and making bat and pumpkin decorations.

Deputy manager Gemma Shepherd said: “All the children had really good fun at the party. I think their favourite bit was the 'swamp lucky dip', where they had to put hand in green goo and hunt around for special prizes.

“We have a Halloween party every year with just the people who are in on the day, but this is the first time that we got a lot of people involved. It was a real success and we'll definitely be doing it again next year.”
