FREE sports sessions for children are to be held at a Walthamstow school.

The sessions, open to children aged 10 to 14, are held every Wednesday at Frederick Bremer School as part of the School Sports Partnership.

They include cricket, dance and athletics and are aimed at offering children the chance to do sports they might not otherwise be able to do.

Community sports coach Peter Burke said: “The idea is to link primary school children with Year Seven and Eight children.

“They mix with the slightly older children and then they are already at ease in a secondary school environment.”

Sessions run from 4pm to 7pm and are open to all.
