This Saturday (November 7) at the Sheepwalk pub in Leytonstone, promoters What's Cookin' present another juicy night of country goodness.
Headliners are the Plastic Pals, a fun powerpop garage group hailing all the way from Stockholm in Sweden.
Support comes from psychedelic rockers Instant Flight and Swedish sing-songwriter Ben Folke Thomas. Folk is his middle name. Kinda.
Doors open around 8.30pm and there's no entry charge – but donations for the bands are welcome.
Meanwhile on Wednesday (November 11) What's Cookin and the Sheepwalk have another evening of fun grooviness.
Headliner is Bap Kennedy, formally of Belfast rock band Energy Orchard.
The country-rocking Mr Bap, who has worked with the likes of Van Morrison and Steve Earle, AND seen one of his albums hit number eight in the US Billboard charts, is clearly a force to be reckoned with. And to watch and enjoy.
Support comes from acoustic blues guitarist Sean Taylor. Doors open around 8.30pm.
This coming Sunday (November 8), Walthamstow Folk Club presents trio Expatriate Game.
The gig, at the Plough Inn, Walthamstow, costs £6 to get in (or £5 for concessions), and it all gets going at around 7.30pm.
Monday (November 9) sees the weekly – and free - Blues Jam night at the Plough. Starts around 9pm.
The East Side Jazz Club at the Lord Rookwood in Leytonstone sees Frank Griffith, Dick Pearce and John Etheridge all play next Tuesday (November 10). Entry will be around the £5 mark, and doors open at 8.30pm.
The Standard in Walthamstow hosts its usual diet of tribute acts this weekend.
Friday (November 6) A Foreigners Journey play a headline set. Tickets are £9.
While on Saturday (November 7), the acclaimed and adored Counterfeit Beatles take to the stage, also for £9. Doors on both occasions open around 8pm ish.
On Monday (November 9) Waltham Abbey Folk Club hosts its weekly Singaround night. Entry is a cool £1.50 and thing start at 8.30pm.
This Thursday (November 5) at the Square in Harlow sees another lovely night of unsigned bands.
Acts playing include Roses in Rome, Silent Front and Role Call For The Second Site.
Doors are at 8pm, and it costs £4 to get in, or free if you're a member.
