A PUPIL'S selfless charity work and volunteering was acknowledged with an award from a local business.
Marius Vermaak, a former student at Roding Valley High School, in Alderton Hill, Loughton, was presented with the Foundation Award by accountants Haslers.
He was chosen for the book token prize by his fellow Year 11 pupils at Roding Valley for his contribution to the local community through various fundraising activities.
Marius is now a 6th form pupil at Davenant Foundation School, in Loughton, where he is studying four A-levels and hopes, one day, to realise his dreams of becoming a Tornado fighter pilot.
Requests for fundraising sponsorship from the Haslers Foundation Committee can be made by emailing marketing@haslers.com.
