AN A-LEVEL student has become the star of a new poster campaign to inspire young people to work hard at school.
Leonie Richardson, 16, who attends Wanstead High School in Redbridge Lane West is one of four youngsters from across the capital to appear in the campaign for London Challenge, run by the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
She attended the launch at the department's offices in central London with the other students appearing on the posters and the Minister for London Schools Diana Johnson.
Leonie is currently studying for A-levels in Art, English Literature, Photography and History. The poster draws on Leonie's hopes and aspirations for the future, including taking a gap year in between finishing school and starting university.
From Wednesday, November 4, the posters will appears on 250 bus shelters across London and on a series of huge roadside billboards.
