POLICE are hunting for a would-be kidnapper who tried to abduct a young woman outside a Tube station.
A brave cab driver foiled the attempt when he saw the man grab the woman from behind and try to bundle her into a car next to Hainault Underground station, in New North Road, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man jumped back into the car and drove off towards Fencepiece Road after the attack, which happened at about 2.45am.
The woman is thought to have been wearing a black jacket and black jeans at the time.
Her attacker is described as a light skinned black man, aged between 25 and 40, and approximately 6ft 1ins.
He was well built with short black cropped hair, was wearing dark trousers and a small dark jacket and had a London accent.
He was driving a black saloon car.
