CHILDREN enjoyed a junior sports day at the Score Centre in Oliver Road.
The children, aged eight to 11 years, attended the event, which was organised by staff from Priory Court Community Centre (PCCC), in Walthamstow Youngsters played athletics, basketball, handball, football and other sports.
PCCC, in South Countess Road, which is run by Circle 33 housing association, has recently set up a youth committee, which will be run like a residents' association.
It also runs two popular youth clubs, for 13 to 16 year olds and for 17 to 21 year olds, and a range of activites including sports coaching, pool, music, air hockey, karate, Duke of Edinburgh award programmes and computing.
The centre has enlisted the help of the Active Change Foundation, to engage a group of young people at risk of committing anti-social behaviour.
