YOUNG people have taken part in a week of special activities with Waltham Forest police aimed at 'breaking down barriers'.
Youths aged 10 to 20 were invited to take part in activities organised by the Police Community Engagement Team at Gilwell Park in Chingford.
Those taking part included youngsters from the Somalian Youth Association and activities included raft building, archery and climbing.
Hanif Qadir, of the Active Change Foundation, which is based in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, also gave a talk to the youths at the end of the week on October 30.
The Police Community Engagement Team from Waltham Forest is based at Leyton police station.
They deliver the 'PREVENT' agenda, aimed at community engagement and problem solving.
