LEYTON Sixth Form College alumni are being sought for a celebration of its 80th birthday later this month.
The college turns 80 on November 28 and is set to hold a celebration of the occasion at an open day.
The main school building was opened in 1929 by the Prince of Wales and an exhibition is to be included, showcasing photos and documents from the college archives.
It will look at the past, present and future of the college buildings, which are currently undergoing a £40million worth of refurbishment.
A tour of the college will also give ex-students and local residents the chance to see how much the buildings have changed.
Refreshments are to be served from 1pm.
Leyton Sixth Form College is one of just 13 colleges nationally to be given the go-ahead by the Government’s Learning and Skills Council for a major capital project.
