SPOOKY fun was had by all when children at Coopersale and Theydon Garnon Primary School, settled down for an afternoon of scary stories.
Pupils at the school, in Brickfield Road, Coopersale, were first given the task of making their own “lantern” which they did by decorating torches brought in for the day.
They then gathered round for a scary tale delivered by Jack Obourne, a professional actor and grandparent of one of the school's pupils.
Continuing the spooky theme, the children were then set the task of using their lanterns to find all sorts of ghoulish items hidden in the school garden from toy ghosts to rats.
The day was arranged by the school's PTA and raised over £150 which will go towards buying visualisers- which help project images- for each class.
PTA member Claire Myson said: “It was a really great day and all the children enjoyed it. We have got a few events coming up and we have a full fund-raising schedule.”
