WALTHAM Forest primary care trust has won an award for its implementation of a computerised record-keeping system.
NHS Waltham Forest was the overall winner at the E-Health Insider Awards, as well as scooping a prize for information management and technology healthcare team of the year.
The award was given for the trust's implementation of the RiO record-keeping system.
The prize was presented at a black tie dinner at the Hilton hotel, in Park Lane, west London, hosted by Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis.
Simon Midlane, NHS Waltham Forest head of information and communication technology, said: “ “We are over the moon.
"The award is a terrific recognition of what we have achieved this year."
The awards scheme, now in its third year, is designed to recognise and reward the efforts of outstanding teams and individuals in UK healthcare information technology.
