POLICE are hunting robbers who carried out three violent attacks in quick succession.
A man was kicked and punched to the ground by two men at 6.50pm on Wednseday, October 28, in St Mary’s Road, Walthamstow, but the robbers failed to steal anything.
A short time later, a woman was approached by the same men and threatened, but managed to escape when a passing man intervened.
The good samaritan was then followed and attacked by the robbers, who sprayed him in the face with what has been described as a noxious substance.
The robbers then escaped in a dark-coloured 4x4 towards Hoe Street.
The attackers are described as white and aged 20 to 25. One has short brown hair and was wearing a black leather jacket. The other has short brown, curly hair and was wearing a blue tracksuit top.
Det Cons Shona Furness said: “"These men are responsible for three violent attacks all in very quick succession."
"Anyone who witnessed these attacks or can help the Police with any information are asked to contact Chingford Police on 0208 345 3015 or to remain anonymous contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
