The Plough Inn, Walthamstow, presents a unique Woody Guthrie night on Sunday (November 22) organised by Walthamstow Folk Club.

Host for the evening is Will Kaufman, who will be performing a “live documentary” on the great man, performing his tunes and discussing the politics which defined his works.

It all starts at 7.30pm, and is £6 to get in, or £5 for concessions.

And on Friday (November 20) at the Plough Inn it's Tunnel Vision Friday night.

On the bill for the free gig are the Electric Skulls, Graham Larkbey and the Escape Committee, American singer-songwriter Bob Collum and funnyman Johnny Black.

Doors are at 8.30pm.

Monday night (November 23) at the Plough is free blues jam night from 9pm.

Next Wednesday (November 25) at the Sheepwalk in Leytonstone, What's Cookin' present a double bill of goodness.

Headline act is American rock-bluesy band Case Hardin.

Support comes from indie folk singer Emil Friis from Denmark.

Entry is free and make sure you get down there around 8.30pm ish.

On Thursday (November 19) Club Bus Wind presents a series of unsigned bands at the Standard in Walthamstow, including rocky group The Outbursts.

Entry is £6 or £5 with a band flyer, doors open around 8pm.

This Friday (November 20) the Standard hosts tribute act Guns 2 Roses. Doors are at eight and it's £9 to get in. on Saturday the venue presents One Step Behind. Entry is £9 and doors are at 8pm.

On Monday (November 23) Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a feature evening with bluesy singer-songwriter Ben Little.

Entry is £5 and doors open at 8.30pm.
