A CREATIVE writing group launched its latest book for children with a party at Loughton Central Library.
The Forest Creative Writers, who meet at the facility in Traps Hill, marked the release of 'Stories For Children' with a day of readings to pupils from Hereward Primary School.
The book features a selection of short stories and poems written by residents aimed at youngsters aged five to 11.
But, as member Pete Relph pointed out, the book shows off more than just residents' writing skills.
He said: "This book has an attractive, professionally designed front cover and the stories within are appropriately illustrated - mostly by the group's own creative artists.
"They certainly are multi-talented."
The book was created with the help of a grant from the Essex Community Foundation, who helped pay for its production by Loughton firm Metloc Printers.
Samples of the book are being sent to all the district's primary schools.
