CHILDREN at an Epping primary school will be coming over all blue this Friday (November 20) at an event held to raise awareness of cyberbullying.
Pupils at Epping Upland Church of England school in Carters Lane, Epping Green, will attempt to wear only blue clothes for the day, as part of the nationwide BeatBullying Week.
The youngsters will also take part in a series of lessons learning about the use of technology such as mobile phones and the internet to threaten and abuse others - in what has become known as cyberbullying.
Dozens of other schools across the county will also be taking part.
According to the charity BeatBullying, 61 per cent of 11 to 18 year olds have experienced or witnessed some form of cyberbullying, prompting many primary schools to promote awareness of the issue as a preventative tool before their pupils leave to secondary school.
