GIFTED young singers from a Redbridge school will show off their skills during a special charity Christmas concert.
Bancroft School's Chamber Choir and Junior Choir will take part in 'A Christmas Celebration' at St Mary's Church in High Road, South Woodford, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, on Tuesday, December 8, will begin at 7.30pm.
School spokeswoman Karen Rogers said: "There will be an opportunity for the audience to join in with the singing of popular carols.
"The concert is to be conducted by Enid Weaver, with Roger Bluff playing the organ and Max Weaver on trumpet.
"The evening's performance is in memory of Kathleen Whitfield.
"Dr Whitfield, who died earlier this year, was a well known personality in the Woodford area, and a great Macmillan supporter.
"All proceeds from the concert will be sent to this very worthwhile charity and, whilst there is no charge for entry, there will be a collection during the course of the evening."
