POLICE have appealed for help in catching two robbers who raided a supermarket armed with hockey sticks.
The pair, who are both described as black and aged between 15 and 18, threatened to hit staff with the weapons unless they handed over cash - after bursting into Chadwell Supermarket, in Chadwell Heath Lane, on Friday November 27.
The robbers escaped with just £50 after the attack - which took place at about 6.35pm.
One of the robbers was 5ft 8ins tall, and wearing a dark coloured jumper with white Adidias stripes down both sleeves with a red scarf covering his face.
He is thought to have been carrying a JD Sports bag.
The other wore a dark jumper and bottoms with a black ski mask and red bag.
A Redbridge Police spokeswoman said: "Police are keen to speak to anyone who may of witnessed the two men enter or leave the store as we believe there was a large group of youths hanging around near the shop."
Anyone with information should contact DC Jennifer Watson on: 8345 2610.
