A WALTHAMSTOW church will be taking part in a national bell-ringing campaign for less carbon emissions.

St Barnabas Church, in St Barnabas Road, will take part in the campaign to co-incide with the 12-day UN Climate change Conference, which begins on Monday.

The church will ring its bells 350 times to symbolise the 350 parts per million that some scientists believe is the safe limit for CO2 in the atmosphere.

The marathon bell-ringing session will take place on December 13.
