PUB launches ale to raise money for soldiers' charity.
The Queen Elizabeth, in Forest Side, Chingford, has specially created a cask ale called "Liz’s Battalion" to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Launched by retired servicemen, for every purchase 10p will go to the charity which helps wounded soldiers and their families.
The Queen Elizabeth has close ties with the armed forces because cleaner Sharon Holmes’ son is currently on a six month tour in Afghanistan and will be sorely missed over Christmas.
General Manager Emma Eyres said:“This new cask ale will compliment and complete our great range of drinks and does so by helping a fantastic cause at the same time."
The ale was created by Oxfordshire Ales brewery.
