A GLASSWORKS company opened its studio doors to the public.
Workers at London Glassworks on the Forest Trading Estate in Priestly Way, Walthamstow, make a variety of products with contemporary designs using traditional methods.
Stewart Hearn, master glass-maker said the event, which is in its fifth year, was the best yet with up to 400 people passing through their doors on Saturday and Sunday.
He said: “It was fantastic. We even had a queue forming outside. People loved it. Many of them were amazed to find out we are here.”
The four glass-makers at the workshop create colourful pieces, from everyday, functional items such as tumblers to art work worth £2000.
Mr Hearn said that they cannot open up usually because there are not enough people at the workshop to oversee it, but he said they plan to continue with the annual event.
