ADULT care services in Waltham Forest have been praised following an assessment.

The newly-created Care Quality Commission (CQC) said the council’s performance was “outstanding” in two categories - 'freedom from discrimination and harassment' and 'achieving economic well-being'.

The authority achieved an “adequate” rating for improving the quality of residents' lives.

In every other measure, including improving health and maintaining service users' dignity, the council scored 'well'.
