A NEW park for skateboarding in Ongar has been officially re-opened following problems with its original design.
A ceremony at the site, in Bansons Lane, was held last week to mark the occasion with Ollie Moxey, a member of the Ongar Skate Board Group, and town councillor Keith Tait.
Mr Moxey said: “The park has been in use for some weeks and has met with positive comments from both skateboard and BMX riders.
"It is good to see a wide age range of users enjoying their sports alongside each other”.
The original park was shut-down following problems with its design.
The new version, designed by skatepark group Freestyle Ltd, includes extra features such as a seated observation area and litter bins.
