THE deputy chief executive of the council has been appointed as the temporary boss of troubled property manager Ascham Homes.
Martin Esom will act as interim chief executive of Ascham Homes until a permanent replacement for Hassett Auguste, who stood down last month, is found.
The council's development director Shifa Mustafa will cover Mr Esom's environment and regeneration responsibilites while he is at Ascham Homes.
Mr Auguste told the board of the beleagured company he would be standing down following council concerns about the company's performance.
