A SECRETARY punched a ticket inspector and racially abused another after a night of drinking, a court heard.

Chloe Flynn, 21, of The Bramblings, in Chingford, lashed out at the member of staff and racially abused another at Liverpool Street Underground station as she travelled home after a night out.

Flynn, who is a personal assistant for the Newspaper Society in High Holborn, appeared at City of London Magistrates' Court on December 3.

She pleaded guilty to assault by beating on October 1 and using racially aggravated threatening behaviour.

She was fined £250 for the assault, and ordered to pay £90 costs and £50 compensation to the victim.

There was no separate fine for the aggravated threatening behaviour and she was given credit for pleading guilty.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “Nobody should be made to feel fearful in the workplace and that’s why BTP treats extremely seriously any assault against a member of Tube staff.

“There is absolutely no justification for this kind of behaviour and wherever possible we will build a case against offenders and see them have their day in court.”
