PEOPLE living on one of Redbridge's biggest housing estates will come together for an afternoon of festive fun on Saturday.
Residents of all ages are expected to turn up for the annual Christmas party on the Orchard Estate, in Woodford Green - which is set to feature a wide range of special family activities.
The event, which has been jointly organised by the Orchard Estate Residents' Association and Redbridge Homes - will run from 12pm until 3pm at the Orchard Community Hall in Broadmead Road.
Roding ward councillor, Felicity Banks - who will be on hand to draw the raffle - said the event was a chance to celebrate the positive aspects of the estate.
She said: "There's been so much doom and gloom about the estate recently so it's nice that we can enjoy something fun going on there.
"It's set to be a good day."
