IT’s full steam ahead at the Markfield Beam Engine and Museum, Tottenham, on Saturday, December 12, with a special Christmas Steam Day from 1.30pm.
Restored to its former glory, see the magnificent Wood Brother’s Beam Steam Pumping Engine, built in 1886, in action.
Housed in its original Grade II listed engine house in the former sewage treatment works for Tottenham, the engine drives two pumps, both capable of moving two million gallons per day.
