PRINTS, paintings, sculpture, video and a 3D installation are exhibited at the Waltham Forest Arts Club Winter Show at Vestry House Museum, which opened last week.
Featuring the works of 33 artists, the event also includes a collaborative piece in the form of an interactive memory card game that can be played by visitors.
An original concept by Katja Rosenberg, the cards feature images of racing dogs and film cameras in memory of Walthamstow’s great lost icons – the cinema and the dog track.
Speaking about the club, Katja tells me: “We are always looking for new members, as many as possible are welcome, and it’s a great way to get in touch with other artists in the area, it’s like a creative meeting point.”
Other artists exhibiting in the show include contemporary artist Roan Allen, photographer David Barette and painter Shirley Pountney.
In addition, a day of creative activity for children and adults has been planned for Sunday, December 13.
The exhibition runs at Vestry House Museum, Vestry Road, Walthamstow, until Thursday, December 24. For more information about the club visit www.artsclub.org.uk
