CONNAUGHT School for Girls performed their annual Christmas concert last Tuesday with over 100 students participating in a wide variety of musical performances.
The audience enjoyed performances from the mixed age choir, string and woodwind groups, the school's steel band and duet and solo pieces directed by Rosemary Sanger, head of music at the school, in Connaught Road, Leytonstone.
The concert took up a festive theme including traditional Christmas carols and other well known Christmas songs from the all-years combined choir.
Year 9 student Camara Fearon emerged as the star performer, receiving a rapturous ovation for her solo performance of 'O Holy Night'.
Ann Betts, Headteacher, thanked all involved for an enjoyable evening and wished everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year.
