TRAFFIC is being held up due to emergency roadworks to repair a burst water main.
One lane of the northbound A406 North Circular Road has been closed between A12 Eastern Avenue and M11 junction 4 (Woodford) while the repair work continues.
Tailbacks have formed to the A118 at Ilford Hill. One of the two lanes between the Redbridge flyover and the M11 remains closed, but the southbound carriageway has now re-opened following an earlier closure.
One lane of North Circular Westbound at A104 Woodford New Road (Waterwork's Corner) is also closed, but indications are that traffic is coping well.
