TINSEL and angel wings have been in abundance as pupils performed their end of year Christmas nativity plays.
Pupils at Thomas Daniel Primary School, in Colchester Road, Walthamstow, performed a nativity called, Born in a Barn.
Pat Hampshire, office worker at the school, said: “It was brilliant. We had lots of parents coming to watch and the children really enjoyed it.”
Year one one pupils at St Patrick's Primary School in Longfield Avenue, Walthamstow, performed the nativity play to the rest of the school.
Michelle Duffy, office manager at the school, said: “It was lovely. They did a few productions in the school and then one for the parents. The children were fantastic. They are very young and it was their first performance at the school, so they did really well.”
Foundation stage pupils at Larkswood Primary School in York Road, Chingford, performed the nativity story to the rest Chase Lane Primary School, in York Road, Chingford, held seven Christmas concerts this year.
Pupils, staff and parents all helped to raise more than £900 from collections at the concerts, which will be donated to the NSPCC, Cancer Research and Whipps Cross Hospital Maternity Unit's Big Push appeal.
