A HEADTEACHER said goodbye to her school of 10 years today.
Rosie McGlynn has been the head of St Joseph's School, in Vicarage Road, Leyton, since 1999.
Her last day was marked by a visit from the Mayor of Waltham Forest Cllr Anna Mbachu.
Ms McGlynn said: “I am very emotional, it has been a wonderful 10 years here.
“I will miss my colleagues and the children.”
She said her highlights over her decade in charge were the school's extra-curricular sports programme and presiding over an extension to the school building.
She is leaving to take over at St Mary's School, in Walthamstow.
Deputy head John Alexander will take over at St Joseph's until a permanent replacement is appointed.
