A MAN was stabbed in the back during a brawl outside a supermarket in the early hours of the morning.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward with information about the fight, which took place at about 2am outside Somerfield Supermarket in Chigwell Road on Sunday.
Police believe the stabbing could be linked to an earlier fight near the The Manor House pub.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to an altercation where several males were fighting. One of the victims suffered a minor stab wound to the back and went to Whipps Cross Hospital.
"There was also a fight earlier on near The Manor House pub which could be linked to this."
