A TEENAGER will appear at the Old Bailey today charged with the murder of a 'devoted father'.
Kieron Lawrence, 18, from Walthamstow but of no fixed address, and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of murdering Edward Thompson on September 6.
Mr Thompson was sitting in a car in stationery traffic at the junction between Amhurst Road and Marcon Place in Hackney when he was shot dead.
The 29-year-old was driven by friends to Homerton Hospital where he later died.
Detective Chief Inspector John Macdonald, who led the investigation, said Mr Thompson was a family man who was devoted to his three young children.
