AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a "suspicious" fire broke out at North Weald station.
Two security guards suffered from smoke inhalation during the blaze, which happened on Sunday night (December 27) at around 9pm.
Firefighters, who took more than an hour and a half to extinguish the flames, managed to contain the fire to a temporary office building on the site in Station Approach.
Two crews from Harlow and one from Epping attended the scene.
Essex Police and Fire Service officials said they will carry out a joint investigation into the blaze.
