WEST Hatch High School has become the first in Europe to employ Windows 7 across its entire network.
The Chigwell High Road school had its status at the forefront of technology confirmed by Microsoft vice president Anthony Salcito.
As well as using Windows 7, himself, the school's head of IT support Alan Richards has been giving talks to other schools on how to use the software.
West Hatch IT teacher Priya Parmar said: “It makes teaching and learning so much easier”.
Bobby Eavy, 13, said: “It's much better to look at, and the toolbar at the bottom makes it so much easier to manage lots of things at once”.
