WOMEN in Redbridge will get the chance to work off those extra festive pounds during the new year by taking part in bhangra dancing classes.
The sessions, organised by AWAAZ women's group, will help users battle the bulge while learning more about the colourful Indian dance form.
People of all ages are invited to join the classes, which will take place at Loxford polyclinic in Ilford on Saturdays from 10am.
A keep fit class will also be available at the centre in 2010 which are due to run on Tuesdays any time between 8am and 8pm, and yoga classes on Thursdays from 6.00 to 8.00pm.
Sessions focusing on the impact of domestic violence will meet there on Wednesdays from 11.00am until 1.00pm, with English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) courses running on Fridays from 2.00pm until 4.00pm.
In addition, the Sikh Care Community Project will be holding Bhangra aerobics for women every Friday, from 7.00pm until 8.00pm and Bhangra/Bollywood classes for under 18s, on Fridays from 6.00pm until 7.00pm.
