A CHOIR with a difference has proven such a hit with people across the area that it is launching a second weekly rehearsal.
Rock Choir, which meets at Holy Trinity Church in Hermon Hill, South Woodford, is to start running early evening rehearsals to meet unexpected demand.
Singers of all ages can try their hand at pop, Motown, gospel and modern chart songs, and the sessions are aimed at people are not necessarily professional or experienced singers.
Rock Choir director, Caroline Redman Lusher said: "Most individuals who join Rock Choir are less than confident in their voices and in themselves. It's our job to care for them in whichever way they need and build their confidence so they can sing their hearts out each week leading to the events we arrange for them. The weekly sessions are exciting and good fun!
“Singing, laughter and time out from the everyday routine are the three main building blocks but members gain a huge amount more on a personal level - we know that from their regular feedback.”
The Woodford Rock Choir's new early evening rehearsals run from 6.30pm to 8pm, with the later rehearsals from 8pm to 9.30pm.
