FIVE men arrested in Ilford over a fatal hit-and-run crash on New Year's Day have been bailed.
The smash, which happened in Palmers Green, north London, killed a 20-year-old woman and injured three other people.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a postmortem is expected to be carried out today.
Two of the victims, a man and a woman, remain in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The third victim suffered a broken leg while a fourth pedestrian was also hit but was not hurt.
They were walking along the North Circular Road when a white Honda mounted the pavement and hit them.
Police were called to the scene, near the junction with Green Lanes, at about 4.25am.
The five men, all in their 30s, were arrested on Friday at an address in Ilford.
Officers have said the white Honda was heading eastbound with a red vehicle at the time of the crash.
Those in the Honda ran off on foot while the red car failed to stop.
