A MAN is due to stand trial today for strangling his sister to death.
Mum-of-two Soabia Sayid, 29, was found strangled to death in her home in Hycliffe Gardens, Chigwell last April.
The victim's brother in law, unemployed Mohammed Sayid, 49, is due to stand trial today for her murder.
Police were called by neighbours concerned about the welfare of the housewife, just before 11.30am on April 27 last year.
Police and paramedics arrived at the house she shared with her brother in law and found her body.
A post mortem revealed she had died from asphyxiation by strangulation.
Sayid was charged the following day and has remained in custody since.
