THE borough has been carpeted in snow causing schools to close - and more severe weather is predicted.
Up to 15cm of snow fell over London last night and is expected to continue throughout the day.
The Met Office has said the snowfall is likely to cause disruption to travel networks and power supplies in London over the next few days.
The councils' gritters have been out on the roads since yesterday evening and the main roads are running freely.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said there had been no serious road accidents in the borough caused by the snow.
But the Highways Agency is advising drivers not to travel unless the journey is essential.
The Met Office has warned of severe weather over the next few days, forcing many schools to close.
Parents are advised to contact their child's school for information about opening.

The Central Line remains suspended (updated 10.58am) between Leytonstone and Liverpool Street - causing severe delays on the whole line.
National Express East Anglia is running a full service on the Liverpool to Chingford railway line.
National Rail Enquiries have set up a special number for information about trains affected by the weather, on 08453 017 641.
Rubbish collections are taking place as normal as are postal services.
