PUPILS at one school will be finishing early today (Wednesday 6) as heavy snowfall continues to disrupt services across the borough.
Chadwell Primary School will be closing this afternoon after pupils and parents faced serious difficulties getting in this morning, and could remain closed tomorrow.
A statement on the Redbridge Council website said: “Chadwell Primary School will be allowing parents to come and collect children from 1.30pm this afternoon, following lunch.
“The school is to remain closed for the remainder of the day and is likely to stay closed tomorrow if the poor weather continues.
“When parents come to collect their children this afternoon they should go to the main office if their child is in years 2-6 or the infant building if their child is in year groups nursery, reception or year 1.”
King Solomon High School, St Bede's Catholic Primary School and Nursery, Our Lady of Lourdes RC Primary School, Redbridge Primary School, and Coppice Primary School are all closed.
Wanstead High School is open but the school network and website is experiencing technical difficulties.
Woodford County High School is open today, following yesterday's closure due to boiler problems.
The Central Line is suspended between Liverpool Street and Leytonstone and there are severe delays on the rest of the line.
