HOSPITAL appointments are being kept with patients, despite the severe weather.
Whipps Cross Univerity Hospital Trust in Leytonstone is operating as normal, but people with illnesses are being urged to visit A&E only in an emergency.
A spokeswoman said: "During the severe weather conditions, Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS trust will continue to provide services as normal.
"The trust has, and will continue, to put measures in place to ensure that continuity and quality of service to our patients is not affected.
"However, at this time, the trust strongly urges members of the public to only attend A&E in an emergency and to otherwise contact their GP or NHS Direct by telephone 0845 46 47 or online in the first instance."
