POWER cuts have hit dozens of homes and businesses across east London, with Chingford Mount one of the worst affected areas tonight.
Several sets of traffic lights, some shops and residential streets in the Memorial Park area of Chingford have lost power this evening.
Earlier today Hoe Street in Walthamstow was also affected, with power cut in banks and the Waltham Forest Direct offices.
Yesterday evening a section of Snakes Lane East in Woodford Green was also badly hit, forcing many take-aways and restaurants to close.
Reports are still coming in and details remain patchy as electricity staff work to fix the faults.
