SCHOOLS have re-opened today (Monday January 11) after several days of closures last week due to the severe weather.
Dozens of primary and secondary schools, along with special and other learning centres, were closed for up to three days at the end of last week after heavy snowfall and icy roads made getting in to school a headache for parents and teachers.
Parents in any doubt about their children's school should check the school's website or contact them directly.
Grammar School selection tests for Ilford and Woodford County High Schools, which were due to held this weekend (Saturday 9 and Sunday 10), were cancelled.
The council intends to reschedule these tests for next weekend (January 16 and 17). Parents should check the council website for updates.
