PARKS and recreation grounds across the borough remain open despite the snowy weather.
Families hoping to have fun in the snow can head for Redbridge's open spaces this morning after the council announced they would not be shut unless conditions deteriorate further.
Car parks at all of the borough's parks are currently closed because of the weather.
A council spokesman said: "At present all our main parks are open.
"Our smaller remote unmanned and satellite parks should be open as normal, subject to daily reviews of the weather conditions.
"The satellite parks include - Barley Lane Recreation Ground, Crucible Park, Grove Road Gardens, Salway, Uphall Recreation Ground and Westwood Recreation Ground.
"Park keepers will advise park users throughout the day should parks need to be closed earlier due to the weather deteriorating or icy conditions.
"Car parks and vehicle routes in all of our parks will remain closed for the time being due to the weather. However, this is subject to review.
"Should earlier closing times be needed we would ask the public to be co-operative and vacate the parks when instructed please."
