RUBBISH could continue piling up in parts of the borough as the council announced further delays to collections.
During the recent heavy weather Redbridge Council's refuse and recycling collections were badly disrupted, including serious problems in parts of Woodford.
Now residents have been warned they could wait yet another day before lorries reach their properties, with the council asking for patience while its staff get back on schedule.
A council statement read: “Every effort is being made to collect the refuse and recycling from Woodford and surrounding areas, in accordance with the Christmas leaflet.
“Due to the adverse weather conditions, there may be some roads/properties that we will not be able to make a collection.
“Therefore, arrangements will be made for the refuse/recycling to be collected the following day (Thursday 14th), weather conditions permitting.”
