EMERGENCY services searching for a woman believed to have fallen through ice in a lake have recovered a body.
Firefighters, police and ambulance crews were called to Dobbs Weir Park, near Glen Faba Road, in Nazeing,at around 2.36pm today (January 13).
An RNLI rescue helicopter was requested and a police marine unit and divers from the Metropolitan Police searched the lake.
A body was recovered shortly before 6pm tonight.
Reports suggest the victim is a local woman in her 40s who disappeared while trying to rescue her dog from the water. The dog was later found safe.
Police are not treating the incident as suspicious
